In the Anchorage Bowl, the type of DSL used is called CDSL,
which stands for Consumer Digital Subscriber Line. It has a
maximum download rate of 1200 Kb/second of data delivered from
CustomCPU to the end user. The maximum upload rate from the
user back to CustomCPU is approximately 320 Kb/second.
In the Matanuska Valley, the type of DSL used is called SDSL
which stands for Symmetrical Digital Subscriber Line. The maximum
rate for both upload and download is 750 Kb/second. Since it
has the same rate limit each direction they decided to call
it "Symmetrical" DSL or SDSL.
